I first heard Once and Never Again on MTV2 around November time 2006, and was like oh my golly gosh wow these guys are fantastico.
In January 2007 I brought the debut album, it is one of the best albums I have ever brought. Every single song is excellent, the lyrics are catchy and Kate Jackson is magnificent as the bands frontwoman.
I absolutely love The Long Blondes.
The best album I have listened to in a long, long time

The Long Blondes CD is my boyfriend's, who suggested I listen to it. Consequently, he hasn't had it back since. And probably won't ever (unless we get married or something, but even then, it will be under lock and key!)
Someone to Drive you Home is the most fantastic album because it epitomises how every girl has felt at some time in their life about a man.
I especially love, Heaven Help the New Girl - which rang true about so many issues, along with Swallow tattoo.
Once and Never Again is an anthem; we listen to at university, being 19 (and despite all having boyfriends) it is THE song we listen to before we go out.
Someone to Drive you Home, is indie-rock for girls - and not just any kind of indie-rock, it is intelligent; where opinions are expressed in euphemistic ways.
Girls are playing guitar, clearly enjoying it and giving a new meaning to the phrase "girl power" to which a whole new genre, thanks to the Long Blondes, is now associated.
