Listened to his last Album Random Title Album and thought that was good, but this album is amazing. The guy certainly knows how to throw some tunes together.

Fully recommend this CD!!!!

Hi Friend, this album is amazing.

After preordering this and using his first album to keep me going till this arrived i must say the wait was well worth it. Whereas 'Random album title' was a good album, it could seem some of the songs lasted far too long, but with the introduction of Vocals and just fresh new uptempo music this album is extremely fun and addicting to listen to. If you liked his first album, then you'll love this.

 Successful subtle transition

The recognisable touches of Random Album Title is blatantly present, but Deadmau5's latest collection of tracks emulates a slight distaste in his own past and progresses into more depth of scope, a notable contrast to his pre-catalogue sounds.

Zimmerman's new intentions are laid bare from the initial opening of FML - sharp drum roll with a over notched bpm, the soft house tonality he was known for demolished and replaced by more distorted proceedings. It is 'progressive' house electro in a sense, and while nothing entirely new is proposed, the sheer talent of Deadmau's ability to keep a addictive tune within each track is at times simply breathtaking. Case in point - the ten-plus-minute final track Strobe is arguably the pinnacle climax of the album, undeniably epic in its ambition and an abundance of a tense atmospheric build up before a gorgeous drop that is sheer masterclass in its ability and impeccable timing. It's a minor shame some tracks mid-album are quite forgettable and can't quite reach the standards of the aforementioned numbers, but the record is an outstanding effort once again by Deadmau5 and could well be established as a firm favourite by many in years to come.

As much as Zimmerman is a good musician, he's not really that imaginative.
i mean, Moar Ghosts 'n' Stuff, Ghosts 'n' Stuff, Hi Friend!, and the second half of Strobe all half the exact same Drum Beats.
Don't get me wrong, I like the album, but i can't help think it could have been better than what it is.
for example, FML, He uses a really powerful drum solo at the start, after a minute it changes to an electronica riff, after another minute it changes back the drums, so it doesn't sound good or that imaginative.
tracks 5, 6 and 7 are pretty forgettable.
and the tracks i consider to be the best are Lack of a Better Name and The 16th Hour, because they actually variate the music throughout the track.
