 The first so-so Rammstein album.

It is possible I might be missing something, perhaps this album is a grower, but I don't find this to be the classic fans are hailing it to be. There are one or two good moments, but no classic play-them-to-death anthems. It seems patchy and lacks the intensity of the last five or so albums.

As a rock fan for more than thirty five years I am somewhat difficult to impress these days. Much pomp and hype surrounds so MANY bands yet their music is entirely derivative upon listening. I loved Mutter from Rammstein, but much else was kind of samey * shrugs*. Bought this one cos my kids are fans really, but I was genuinely caught breathless by the vicious assault of Rammlied and Ich tu dir weh. Brutal power, swaggering aggression yet at its heart real melody and killer riffs. The best one-two punch to start an album since the Black Album IMO.

After those magnificent songs, the rest of the album is less immediate, "pussy" being like an Industrial Steel Panther, and the Marlene Deitrich homage unnecessarily kitch.

All is restored though by B******** and its vicious industrial riffage, yet again with light and shade, and melody.

Yes there is much here that could have been on any previous albums, but enough to show Rammstein as a genuine innovators in a tired genre. Highly recommended album !

A great return to form after the somewhat poor Rosenrot. Love this album, Ich Tu Dir Weh is fast becoming one of my all-time favourite Rammstein tracks! A must have for all fans :)

like many others i preordered the album and waited eagerly for it to arrive.first playing i must say i was dissapointed.it did not sound like they had moved on.in interviews i thought they were going to introduce more strings.as all things its growing on me and when i understand the lyrics s that should make a difference.all in all it could have been better with some more radicle but still rammstein gutsy feel.i,m a huge fan and off to holland to see them in dec.cant wait.it will recieve plenty of plays in my van.

i know a lot of folks did not like rosenrot as it was basically some leftovers from the reise reise recordings, personally i really liked it but it pales by comparison to this album.this is a truly monstrous album of dark, light and much of in between both.great songs, musicianship and harsh, vital production really make this album a must have.well worth the wait...excellent...roll on february and the tour.

 Totally Addicted!!!

I have to admit, at first I was worried about how this album would turn out...there was really no need to worry...this album is up there with 'Mutter'...if this is the last rammstein album, atleast they went out with a bang!

 Amazing well worth it
