Great new album but the DVD leave a lot to be desired

Love the music on the new album and the bonus live CD is also worth a listen.

The anticipation of the live DVD however is a different matter.
The quality of the video is not as it should be and the footage has been encoded in the wrong way, giving rise to many artefacts being shown during motion, which is rather annoying.

Then the worst part. There are only 6 tracks on the DVD, which hardly makes it worth being a bonus, especially when you consider how much space there is available on a DVD.

  Back to their Best

I too wondered whether to buy this Kiss come back album, but after seeing tribute band Dressed to Kill recently i dipped my toe in!
And "water" great easy to listen to album it is and more like the music you relate to as a Kiss admirer. "Stand" and "Russian Roulette" are very catchy but without doubt "Nobody's perfect" is the most memorable track and grows and grows on you with each play. I enjoyed the album on first listen which is always a good sign and now find myself humming the tracks through the day. Kiss music has always been fairly basic but always enjoyable and this album takes them back to the sound of some of their best earlier stuff! I recommend it!

The last thing i bought of Kiss was when it was released on a thing called a record and this cd is just awesome, every track is brill with Paul doing an excellent job on production too. Add this with the Klassics cd re-recorded with the current line-up, throw in a live dvd and you have perfection.

I am so pleased I bought this album, have to say that I was unsure about buying another comeback album after Chinese Democracy!! This is Kiss as you know them from old and Tommy Thayer is a great addition to the band.
There is not a bad track on this album, my favourite has to be Stand.

The Sonic Boom album is a solid 4 -4.5 star album and well worth buying, but this 2xCD+DVD is amazing!

Sonic Boom: Sounds like the Kiss you know and love, excellent album, full of top notch track, and no filler!
You will be nodding along, foot tapping and air guitaring from start to finish.

Kisstory: not to be ignored as a bonus disc of old skool kiss, these have been re-recorded with the new line up and have a diffent feel to them, but still Klassic Kiss!

And a DVD of Kiss Live in Buenos Aires!

Why are you still reading this? get buying!!

Sonic Boom sees KISS return to top form.
11 years since the disappointing Psycho Circus KISS has returned to what made them one of the greatest rocks acts of all time.
KISS has pulled off what the bands of the same era, that are still around have failed to do, produce a great record.
Produced by Paul Stanley the band have taken the essence of all the great bits of the past and rolled them into one album.
An essential album, buy it now!!

Altough there are not all the original members and Gene Simmons' voice isn't the same as it was 30 years ago which is understandable it is still an awesome comeback in classic Kiss style!! A must have on any CD shelf.

What a great year 2009 has been for classic albums from veteran bands. Heaven & Hell and Pearl Jam have both released brilliant new material and now Simmons & Stanley have, in my opinion, produced the best recording of their long careers. With Tommy Thayler and Eric Singer backing them to the hilt- the 2 rock masters have put together 11 new classics to add to their amazing list of great songs. Hopefully they will tour England next year and play all the new songs

I was pretty much blown away when I heard this album!! I am a Kiss fan and this brings the feel of the band back from the seventies! Every track is a classic, no fillers! Catchy choruses and catchy riffs, get it in your car!!

Plus, at this price for a special dvd and bonus cd included too, it's a bargain!!!

What are you still reading this for?? Get it in your basket and buy now!! It's a historical Kiss album!!
