Top notch first album debut from these classy Elks. Both the album and the band ooze quality and potential. Whether on the album or live, the guys always deliver a first-class product and Caught In The Headlights will not disappoint. All the songs are well crafted and delivered and their album demonstrates the band's range, diversity and musicianship. With only a few listens you'll have these songs in your head and you'll be hooked. Superb!

 A 'MUST' BUY ! !

I simply cannot find fault with this album. I've been playing this in the car non stop since I bought it and havn't found one track that I skip. After seeing them at the album launch gig, I can also tell you that they can cut live as well. This band should be huge within 12 months.Roll on the second album.

 Absolutely blown away...

This is the most consistent album of class songwriting i have heard in a long time. There is absolutely no chance you will be disappointed. Personally I prefer the slightly less poppy tracks than the likes of 'cannibals', but they are all fantastic and serve their purpose. First Guitar sounds like a huge hit to me. Sun and Water, Nothing I Can Do, Queen of Hearts and Bleeding Ink are right up my alley too. Comfort or Amuse is very moving, and very beautiful. Better than you is a party, and even jazzy in places. Something for everyone, but yet it all makes sense together. Great musicianship and creativity. Awesome debut...

 Love this album

This is what I call a real album - you have to listen to it as a whole really rather than single tracks and it is my new favourite. Well worth taking a risk and buying if you like to try new music. Great production, talented musicians. A definite grower with a variety of different sounds

Totally brilliant debut album from Absent Elk

This was well worth waiting for! Skilled musicians with great instrumental & vocal sounds. At last a band that plays real music - highly recommended.
