This is album contains some of Oasis greatest works!! and, imo, shows off Noel Gallagher's skills as a songwriter better than other Oasis albums!! The songs, especially their lyrics, are deep and meaningful!! I'll admit that this album probly isn't as good as 'Definitely Maybe' or 'Morning Glory', but, it's still a personal fave of mine!!

It contains two #1 singles, 'D'You What I Mean?' and 'All Around The World' Both long, drawn out songs, but that shows Noel's skills, that these long songs keep u listening right the way through!! It also contains the brilliant single 'Stand By Me', as well as the beautiful 'Dont Go Away'!!

Some songs like 'Magic Pie' and 'Fade In-Out' are kinda slow, and my seem 'bloated', but, they are top tunes!! and if they are too slow for ya, then listen to the fast rockers on this album, like 'It's Gettin Better (Man!!)', 'My Big Mouth', 'Be Here Now' and 'I Hope, I Think, I Know'...

Overall, I can't understand why a single song off this amazing album didn't make it onto 'Stop The Clocks', but, there's a lot on here that deserved to!! (btw, at the time of writing this, it's priced at £3.99!! and trust me, it's worth a lot more than that!!!)

Oasis are one of my favourite bands, and i own all their best albums Heathen Chemistry, Definetly Maybe and of course (Whats The Story?)Morning Glory, and even though none of the tracks are on their greatest hits Stop The Clocks, this is still a must for any fan of the Gallaghers

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Fast paced!

Excellent 3rd album to follow up the massive hype after Morning Glory.

Kicks off with the number one single, "D'You Know What I Mean", followed by other well written tracks such as "My Big Mouth". Things quieten down with "Magic Pie" and then the classic single "Stand By Me".

The album has then more nicely crafted tracks such as "I Hope, I Think, I Know". "Girl in the Dirty Shirt" is not too good, but other gems such as "All Around the World" (#1 Single) and "Don't Go Away" make up for this.

A must have for a any Oasis fan and at £4.99, what a steal!

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars the last Oasis album everyone had a strong opinion on.

in retrospect, and compared to Oasis' more recent efforts, i, amongst many others, have been decidedly harsh on Be Here Now.

while this album is definately flawed, ther are certainly gems on here. Dont Go Away and epic D'You Know What I Mean? are easily amongst my top 15 Oasis songs ever while songs like Stand By Me and I Hope I Think I know would easily be standout tracks if they appeared on the Dont Believe The Truth and Heathen Chemistry.

All Around The World however, is massively over-the-top and eventually bored me to death while the title track is an absolute mess. excessive drugs made this an album of two extremes - on one hand they gave birth to some fine songs that they probably otherwise wouldnt have existed if they were clean, it would appear that it was also the drugs which led to the stodgy cack on this album too.

not perfect, but certainly no disgrace either. compared to their recent output (and that of many other recent rock bands), this is a worthy effort.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars HEDONISTIC BUT STILL GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oasis were unstoppable back in 1996 and after playing record-breaking shows at Knebworth they were riding high. Following the success of MORNING GLORY would not have been an enviable task.
Oasis made a clunky over-produced album which the critics loathed and the fans hated but underneath the layers of guitars there is still CLASSIC Oasis there.
D'YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN?, DON'T GO AWAY, STAND BY ME, FADE IN/OUT & ALL AROUND THE WORLD are brilliant songs and still hold up today.
Noel has gone on record by saying this is the ROCK & ROLL SWINDLE album but i agree with Liam when he said that it's Oasis best album up to that point and i must say Liam's vocals are exceptional.
Ignore the critics & buy an imperfect but still rockin' album.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars An underrated gem

This album gets a lot of undeserved bad press in my opinion. Ok so the songs are a bit long and you can practically smell the copious amounts of drugs taken in the making of it, but there are some brilliant moments on it. 'Don't Go Away' and 'Stand By Me' are two fantastic ballads that are Oasis at their best. 'D'You Know What I Mean?' is an all out rock 'n' roll number and the rest is all listenable too. I guess the final straw for this album was Noel Gallagher's constant putting down of it, but ask any fan and they'll tell you this is a damned good album. What does Noel know anyway?
