Outstanding album, every song is superb, Freedom is my personal favourite along with all the other songs on the album :P
If this album got played on aloudspeaker in Egypt right now there would be 10x the amount of chaos! (in a good way)
The lyrics in the songs are so well written too.

Essential listening, a true benchmark in music

One of the best albums of the nineties and one of the rawest and most powerful debut albums ever released. So many bands (especially nu-metal bands) wouldn't exist without Rage Against the Machine's splicing rap & hip-hop beats with metal rhythms and unorthodox guitar effects.

Politically aware lyrics and fired up vocals spat in signature rapid succession by Zack De La Rocha make for such a riot-inducing abrasive feel and Tim Commerford's hip-hop beat basslines fused with Brad Wilk's raw shattering drums and Tom Morello's metal riffs created a sound then unheard and now often imitated.

The most original part though is Morello's signature guitar wizardry, creating some truly phenomenal sounds through various unorthodox tuning and effects and various methods - astounding to this day.

Every track is a riot-starting anthem with such a funk and groove, an album that belongs in not just a rock fan's CD collection but EVERY music fan's. Classic benchmark in musical (particularly rock/metal) progression for bargain price.

This album truely is amazing music but also a way of releasing anger out! of you look closely at the lyrics Zach is always trying to get a point across and this adds to the depth of the music! this album starts off strong wtih second track being famous KITN and ending with same raised level of enthusiasm with Freedom

the album's brilliant, the band is brilliant, writing their own lyrics with deep meaning with great riffs, they worked hard and it fully deserves the credit it has got.

 musical tsunami

bombtrack, killing in the name of, bullet in the head, ... all known hitsingles and full frontal socially critical songs with the impact of a tsunami. for the ones who were once young in the late eighties, Rage was an absolute must at every party: let the beast go. zack de la rocha and Co deliver a statement that had to be heard. it's a classic album that set some bounderies for a lot of other bands.

 bombtracks galore!

I got this on tape back in 92 and it was never off my walkman. Awesome album to work out to-but the lyrics are so effective too. De La Rocha is like a poet, throw in some quality bass lines, rippin guitar solos and the rest is history. This will go down in history as the best rock/rap album ever made. Still sounds just as good now 17yrs on!
