 Raising The Bar

I normally loathe people that write review of albums that haven't already been released, but having now seen this band a dozen times and 3 times in the last year I've heard most of this album and the new songs are immense.

This album has been so long in the waiting for the fans following 2006's debut release "Raise The Alarm". They released "Coming To Save You" a couple of months ago as an EP as a taster and it has a big chorus that kicks the song up an extra gear and gets the album off to a great start.

We've Always Been Your Friends will be an epic next single, In Your Arms is gorgeous and has subtle nods in the direction of the Stone Roses, A Warning Sign has a great dancy style to it and continues a bit like the first album finished and is probably my favourite of the new tunes so far. Any Minute Now runs a close second and is a great reprieve from the intensity of the other tracks on the album and is the closest thing you get to a "slow" song from TSU and shows a new diversity to their sound. The Messiah is an epic brooding track to finish the album that will leave you wanting more.

What strikes me more than anything about this follow up to "Raise The Alarm" is how much the songs build as they go often raising the bar with the chorus to knock your socks off. This is a genuine step up in class from the TSU lads from a very high standard set up from the debut album. Expect dancey hooks similar to the first album but also there is a darker sound to TSU on this album in places with scuzzy driving basslines.

Three and a half years is a long time to wait for the follow up when their debut was so well recieved but they have continuously toured and kept their loyal fanbase happy. If you get a chance to see them on their February tour you won't be disappointed, in fact you'll probably never forget the gig thanks to the amazing atmosphere their sound generates. They'll be hitting the festivals in the summer like they did at V last year so you'll have plenty of opportunity to catch them live.

Forget who the journo's say will be big this year (apart from Ellie Goulding!) - make this the first great album you buy for 2010.

This album (2nd) has been well worth the wait i must say!! Every single one of the songs from Coming to Save You to The Messiah are completly unique. This band really know how to grip you until you are lost in their world of music! Not one song sounds the same but you can garuntee you will listen, dance & rave your way too the end, then stick it back on repeat....
These four lads have come a long way and it sure does show that they really listen to their fans and give us songs we know they love as much as we do. I really hope this is the year TSU get recognised BIG style, they deserve to make it huge. The tour has started this week and im off to watch them three times... i just can't get enough of them! If you love this album as much as i do you MUST without a doubt see them live,it's incredible!! You leave completly raved out but thirsty for more.......
Best album of the year...bring on the 3rd!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Everything i expected and wanted

i am a massive TSU fan and am in awe of them still. This new album is truly amazing and the band deserve it to be huge. They were the first band i ever saw, in Portsmouth. I'm seeing them in Southampton in a couple of weeks and cannot wait!

PLEASE BUY THIS ALBUM.
YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. :)

 Don't think - just buy!!!

I have never written a review before but just can't resist having my say on this album. It is truly amazing!

After waiting for the release for over 3 years I've got to say it was well worth the wait. It's hard to explain the effect tsu have on their fans, and it's even harder to explain how brilliant they are. They are like a hidden gem - something that you want to keep secret so you get that smug feeling that you know something other people don't. In the end though you just can't help shouting from the roof tops about their greatness - that people just don't realise what they're missing out on. A life without tsu would be a mundane life indeed.

I've listened to this album on repeat for over a week and I'm still not bored. Very rarely does an album come along that you can listen to over and over and still love but this is definitely one of them. Traffic jams have never been so enjoyable.

Do yourself a favour and indulge yourself in the best band around at the moment, you won't be sorry.
