I love Blood Red Shoes!!!
I was really pleased when I first heard their debut, 'Box of Secrets' last year. It was a fantastic debut album. I am impressed with Blood Red Shoes because two-piece bands are usually a bit rubbish, with the exception of the White Stripes, but these two make it work. I couldn't wait for the second album and it was worth the wait.
It's more of the same stuff, but done even better. My favourite song is Count Me Out. Don't Ask is a great opener too, but there's not a bad song on the whole thing. I love Laura Mary-Carter's voice too!
Most second albums are naff, particularly when they have to follow up from a much-loved debut, but they have pulled it off. Well worth the wait. If you loved the first, you will love this too!!!
