 Half a very good album!

if I could just review half of the album it would have 4 or 5 stars but there are a few duds on here that shouldn't have made the final cut. Iggy Pop and Lemmy producing very unimaginative and tired cliches of their previous work - which are painfully bad. And Adam Lavene is pleasant but out of place. Superb opening tracks from Asbury and Ozzy, with Myles sounding good...but the rest of the album doesn't quite live up to the start. and one can only think Slash didn't want to offend his mates by cutting them out of the final track list, especially after hauling them into the studio for hours on end. Shame, but offers some hope for Slash's future projects, as clearly his guitar work and eye for a song is still top drawer.

Slash can do no wrong; he's got a wide selection of guests on this album and I really like By the Sword and Ghost. Some of them shouldn't work (Fergie!!) but really do. Just very good quality rock.

 another solid slash album

This is a great rock album. "By The Sword" Featuring Andrew Stockdale from Wolfmother is the finest rock song I've heard for a long, long time. Other highlights include an instumental featuring Dave Grohl and Duff Mckagan.
If you are a fan of Guns and Roses or Slash's Snakepit then you should definitely buy this album

 AWESOME

What a fantastic Album if you like guitar and rock music then this is an absolute must. Struggle to find a bad track and Promise featuring Chris Cornell is superb. Buy it you won't be disappointed

I was pleasantly surprised with this album, I did expect it to fall short... But I was completely wrong, the album is awesome & well worth a buy. Fave tracks have got to be Ozzy, Lemmy, M. Shadows & strangely enough Fergie. I really did not expect to like that song but again, completely wrong, it's ace! Have to agree, Fergie's voice does seem to suit rock much better.

Great Album! Track by Track Review

A very good hard rock album with some absolute winners.
1. Ghost - a brilliant opener, the riff is just amazing. Great guitar work from Slash and Izzy. Singing is great from Ian Astbury.
2. Crucify the Dead - in my opinion, this song is absolutely epic! Ozzy sings with so much emotion and Slash squeezes in a great solo at the end. Great lyrics too. Must listen!
3. Beautiful Dangerous - Slash and Fergie? Together? This is a strange song but it's actually good to listen to. Fergie is much better suited for rock singing. Good party song.
4. Back from Cali - A good rock song. Nothing special but it's still worth a listen. Myles is a very talented singer.
5. Promise - Nothing special but still a good listen, Cornell's voice is great and full of emotion.
6. By The Sword - A good rock song, very nice intro. Andrew Stockdale suits this song perfectly.
7. Gotten - I personally didn't like this song. It's nothing special and I'm not a fan of Adam Levine. Five minutes long... urgh.
8. Doctor Alibi - An amazing song! Lemmy's voice is perfect and it's fast tempo is perfect! Some great guitar work in this song. This is a must-listen!
9. Watch This - Dave Grohl adds to this instrumental with some great drumming. A must-listen with some impressive guitar work.
10. I Hold On - Surprisingly good. I'm not a fan of Kid Rock but he suits this song well. Country rock and a good solo. Worth a listen.
11. Nothing to Say - Matt Shadows is an amazing vocalist and there is definitely an Avenged Sevenfold influence in this song. Heavy and powerful, but it doesn't compare to A7X.
12. Starlight - Myles shows his amazing voice in this song. I personally didn't like it but he definitely sings with power and emotion.
13. Saint is a Sinner Too - I personally despise this song. The guitar work is good, but Rocco DeLuca's voice just annoys me. Think of James Blunt's voice but worse. Skip this one.
14. We're All Gonna Die - Unimpressive end to the album. It's generic with a good solo but this shouldn't have ended the album.

Overall, it's worth buying. A great rock record where some songs are absolutely perfect and some songs are just terrible.
