An incredible disc (First buy from Coheed & Cambria), it really took me.
It's really a good purchase, just a pity i received it with half the internal booklet (Few pages are missing), also i paid this just 6.50 euros.

I recommend this to anyone who likes new music, whatever the genre.

To call it a concept album.....

....would be innacurate. Each Co & Ca album, despite having a similiar sound, varies each time. Now, a concept album would be Claudio Sanchez's Prizefighter Inferno solo album.
Anyway...
I find it hard to give anything 5 stars, maybe I'm too cynical, but this album is top-notch. Granted, not as epic in scale as "Good Apollo", but grand nonetheless. Opener "The Broken" is the usual ballad-type epicness-ness we all know and love.
Standout track for me is "Far". It sounds like a Muse song. Don't take that as bad if you don't like Muse (I don't), it's a really well-paced song. "Pearl of the Stars" is the next "Wake Up"/"Mother Superior", the obligatory 'slow track', if you will.
At the end of the day, if you're a fan, you're gonna like it regardless of my opinion. If you're new to them, it comes highly recommended.

Being an ardent fan of theirs since their Shabutie days and getting tattoos of the keywork and dragonfly I pre ordered this as a deluxe edition from America with the graphic novel. As their potentially last album I must say im not totally disappointed but I cant help feel it lacks in some areas. The first two songs are bang on and a couple throughout hold the same charm as the older albums but some of the other songs are mediocre and lack that power and drive the first two tracks have. i really hate having to give coheed a 3 but I just cant give them a 5 when this should be their best album to date

I got this album on a special pre-release and I have to say it is an absolute corker, definitely Coheed at their best. It has a little instrumental opening that we've come to expect from Coheed before tearing into one of the albums best tracks 'The Broken'; this is truly a return to Coheed form, with excellent guitar work and Claudio's voice sounding stronger than ever. Guns Of Summer is something a lot heavier, with faster drums and more distorted guitars, powerchords galore, there is also a sort-of electronic sound to it.

After this there's another one sure to become a classic 'Here We Are Juggernaut' returns back to Coheed recipe and sounds great and yet again Claudio's voice really makes it stand out. The fifth track is something softer, 'Far' really highlights how much Coheed are capable of, there's a lot more melody in this and the guitar solo is simple yet incredibly satisfying, it's very mellow and will make a nice summer time song.

I haven't got around to listening to the other tracks enough to give them a fair review. Most of them are pretty good and don't stray too far from the Coheed path, 'Pearl Of The Stars' is the obligatory soft track and it's exactly what you'd expect; melancholy guitars and softer vocals. Coheed have taken leaps in terms of sound, making this album a lot heavier than Good Apollo, Claudio's voice is much stronger and he has a much better range, the melodies are better and this album could possibly be a career peak for Coheed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, I will be buying this version, seeing as I only have a CD with "NON-RETAIL" stamped on it! Buy it! You won't regret it!

 Not long now!

This may be a bit premature as in truth i've only heard a handful of tracks, but what I've heard i've loved. Co&Ca fans know what they'll be getting but anyone that hasn't heard much should give this a listen. I found the first albums a little hard to get into at first as Claudio has a unique voice and the music was nothing like what i'd before but this is an album you can turn the volume up to and instantly rock out! Can't wait to see them in June.
