High Violet

I'm going too keep simple-This album is effing amazing!! Wow i feel bad i missed this,without a doubt one of the best albums ive heard in years!! Ive not stopped playing this today,it's pure brilliance,ahh just cant stress how good it is!! Bloodbuzz Ohio is such a powerful track it had me choked! Wow.
Even if you don't consider yourself an upwardly mobile stiff with minor social anxiety, the National make it sound grand, confusing, and relatable.Just BUY IT!!

What an album, only came across this band recently and the album is fantastic, what a voice from the singer , the lyrics are superb. In my top three albums of 2010.

Right up there with Arcade Fire's The Suberbs for Album of the year. This is pure quality with Bloodbuzz Ohio and Conversation 16 the highlights in what is this bands attempt to become Britains Favourite American Band

This CD gets better with each and every listen. The National's slow rise to the top continues. One of the true great indie bands working today have produced an album that may not be bettered this year.

It's going to take something special to beat this before the end of the year. It may not have the stand out track that'll get to number 1 in the singles chart, but that's not important. As a complete album it's a masterpiece.

I can't get "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks" out of my head. What a beautiful song and great track to close a phenominal album.

The return of The National should be greeted with great relief and excitement. Its been a stale few months. Maybe even a stale year but finally after waiting so long for something decent to come out The National - High Violet has moved above the mediocre and is firmly the album of the year to date and its looking like a bright summer with some eagerly anticipated albums on the verge of being released and the bench mark has now been set by High Violet and will take some beating.
