I had almost deliberately avoided adele's music to begin with because of all the hype...but it was actually watching the 2011 x factor auditions that made me think I was missing out as so many people were singing her songs!! Anyway.....I relented and bought her 21 album and I am so glad I did!! It's actually my favourite album at the moment!! I LOVE every track on the album......particularly rolling in the deep and set fire to the rain which I have to turn up loud on my iPod!! The emotion these songs are sung with have brought a tear to my eye occasionally as you can relate to the lyrics!!! It's a brilliant album, and ive just got 19 so hope I'm going to love that as much!! Can't wait for the next album! Adele is British music at it's best and we should all be proud of her!!!
I was quite young when 19 came out and thus couldn't appreciate it properly and now I've heard it I decided I didn't like Adele as it wasn't my cup of tea. Then 21 came out..WOW! This album opens up doors and makes you feel things that no other artist is able to make you feel! My favourite songs are: Someone like you, Rolling in the Deep, Set fire to the rain, Turning tables, Rumor has it and Don't you remember:) My only criticism is that there are some songs I don't really like such as Lovesong. But I'd still recommend this album to anyone it's beautiful and a must have!
I'd obviously heard many of Adele's tracks being aired on national radio and really liked the majority of them, hence purchasing the album. This hasn't disappointed and Adele's unique abilities in both writng music and her singing has certainly nailed it for me; I play it again & again in the car and her lyrics often makes it feel like she's written about some my previous experiences. There are only one or two tracks that I haven't wowed over, but I'm sure that the more I play this, the more they will grow on me, which is why I've only given four out of five stars.
