Life For Rent

Love the songs and the album so, so, so, so, so much!!!!!!!!!!

One of my all time favourite albums. Not one bad song. She has such a beautiful and relaxing voice.

I think more of the songs on No Angel are a bit more catchy, but nevertheless, I think that a few of the songs on this album were really good, such as:
White Flag
Sand in my Shoes
This land is mine

If these songs were on No Angel, it would make it a superb album.

After the massive success of No Angel, Dido had a lot of tension put upon her, but she took her time, not to be pressured anyone, she was trying to create a worthy successor to her fantastic debut.
The album is great, sounds great, the lyrics are great, Dido's voice is great, everything is top notch
except
It all sounds very similar to No Angel (NA), nearly all of these songs would fit snugly onto NA without a problem
and that's Dido's flaw, she played it a little too safe and as a consequence her music doesn't sound as if it has evolved much.

On it's own this album is fantastic, definitely worth 5 stars but when put side by side with NA, it loses a point for being too 'samey'

i'am not a fan of dido but her music and voice is so healing and makes you feel good too, when ever your down or upset put her cd on and i am sure with in the 1st song u be smiling like a chesire cat a great cd and a great singer too

There was always a question of whether there would be any response to dido's second album, i mean why do you need two? the first was really good, why bother. I'm glad then that i had this album bought for me as a present. Yes i prefer the first album, but this is no way poor. Ignore the foolish comment rating it 1 star.
The album contains some great songs - 'White flag', 'Stoned', 'Don't Leave Home', 'Sand In My Shoes' and 'This Land is Mine'. The only really weak song is 'See the Sun' with its hidden track attached. Otherwise this album is the answer to the question.

Its a great chill out album, the womans got a great voice & its just such a fantastic album!

Life For Rent? More like: CD For Bin. Avoid at all costs.
