In my opinion, this is not one of Muse's best albums. That does not mean to say, however, that it is not a good album. If you are already a fan, this is a great buy, especially for the £4.99 price tag, but if you're new to Muse I would recommend the more accesible "Black Holes and Revelations". This album does have its fair share of classics, though, such as the opener "Sunburn" which then moves onto the brilliant "Muscle Museum", and the brilliant title track.

I must admit that i got this album as a kind of impulse buy. People had only ever mentioned Origin Of Symmetry to me (as i already owned Absolution and Black Holes...) as a must buy but when i listened to Showbiz i was blown away.
It comprises of an amazing mix of calming and cathcy songs each with the signature 'Muse' sound that people have come to expect.
Sober, Sunburn and Showbiz are songs that immediatly catch the eye, (or ear in this case). Overall a must have for any Muse fan

I recently brought this album and I'm shocked what a good album it actually is. When people talk about Muse they talk about Absolution, Blackholes and Origin of Symetry not Showbiz or Hullabaloo.
Well people should talk about this album as it's brilliant some great tracks. In some ways I wish I could go back in time to when Muse started out to see them perform these songs. Of course their modern concerts are amazing anyway!
So really I can safely now say if you like Muse then buy all of their albums and you wont be disapointed. Oh yeah and go and see them live.
This is the first full length album from Muse. And it's a blooming scorcher. From the opening piano of Sunburn this album does not let up.
The album averages out to be quite calm. There are some heavy numbers here, but even within the heaviest songs exists a quiet undertone. Often the heaviness builds from a quiet beginning, but rather than this being a irritating pattern, the quietness comes back often, and builds again, giving the album an excellent prog-rock feel.
Muscle Museum, Showbiz, and Sober are my highlights but the whole album is great. A wonderful album.
