oh my. This album is everything the Lostprophets are! All their new stuff is a bit poppy and girly.. (one or two songs are alright). This album is quite a bit heavier, but still has Ian's melodic singing and meaningful lyrics. Must have for any Lostprophets fan!

  Amazing album

My brother got this album after hearing 'Last train home' and thinking it was quality, in 2003/4. He got the CD and...i've loved it since. This is probably my favourite album ever, actually. Songs like 'Last summer' and 'goodbye tonight' are slower, more thought out songs, which contrast really well with louder, faster songs like 'make a move'...its just an amazing LP and i would honestly recommend it to anyone

Totally amazing album, I would recommend it to any fan, it's not one to lose out on if you prefer their older music. Wake Up (Make A Move) is easily the best track on the album. But the whole thing is amazing. Easily 5 star.

  the real sound of progress!

This is a brilliant album by the welsh guys. Filled with melodic singing on 'last train home' and full blooded screaming on ' we are godzilla you are japan'. This is truly awesome. I just wish they would get nu metal again not emo like their new stuff, the emo stuff is okay but i just prefer this.

The best Welsh band ever to exist.

An amazing album from the Welsh band; Lostprophets. Every song is unique in it's own way and they are all so good. I couldn't pick my all time favourite on the album but it's close between 'Last Train Home' and 'Last Summer'. Their latest album 'Liberation Transmission is really good too, probably better, so you ought to check it out!

I've heard all three Lostprophets albums and this is my favourite out of all of them. Don't get me wrong, all Lostprophets albums are pretty good as they have progressed throughout the time that they've been a band. However, I always thought that 'The Fake Sound of Progress' was too heavy and that 'Liberation Transmission' was too poppy. So this is great as it fits perfectly in the middle. Favourite songs are 'To Hell We Ride' and 'Last Summer'

This is better than the previous CD, with a lot of good tracks only two or three are great but most are worth listening to.

  Definately worth buying

This album is amazing. It was released in 2004 yet the price of it is still high for the reason of its quality.
1) We still kill the old way- One of my favourites, it's a really good tune. 10/10

2) to hell we ride- not a bad tune, lots of different sounds. 8/10

3) Last train home- everyone knows this one! 9/10

4) Make a move- good instrumental use in this song, the singing is also brilliant 8/10

5) burn burn- lots of people's favourite, really good to listen to 8/10

6) I don't know- You need to stick with this song but it gets going. 9/10

7) hello again- ditto. 8/10

8) goodbye tonight- this song will stay in your head for ages. 9/10

9) start something- amazing song, one of my favourites. good lyrics too. 10/10

10) A million miles- i like how "Start Something" actually goes into "a million miles" when it ends, so theres no gap between the two songs. this is a good song, quite addictive to listen to. 10/10

11) Last summer- i love the guitar solo in this one, and the song itself it amazing- 10/10

12) we are godzilla, you are japan- a very heavy song, but still good to listen to, good instrumental and vocal use. 8/10

13) sway- the longest song on the album, it makes good background music. 8/10

Lp's were always going to find it hard to follow the fake sound of progress but any one has to admitt they did a fine job. I don't think there is anything 'emo' about this album, you could argue differently when listening to Liberation Transmission (the whiney vocals and floppy pointy fringes) alas Start something is full or bad jeans and spit splattered microphones.
Burn Burn and Last Summer were both released off this album and it has to be said that they are probably the best tracks. But then you have Last Train Home, its a truly iconic anthem. You can disagree but whoever says they have managed to stay tight lipped and stood still when its come on in a club, your lying.
The welsh boys did it again. LT is worth a listen but this deserves pride of place. It holds its own and could hands down beat emo blindfolded.
