I think that if I had to choose just one album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Sing the Sorrow. Although I'm not a fan of AFI's later work, and my musical tastes encompass everything from drum n bass to 80s power ballads, this album absolutely shines for me; and in this age where everyone makes their own compilations and hardly buys albums anymore, this is a rare example of every single track having something to offer. Any teenager wanting to get into some decent alternative/emo/goth/punk music [whatever you want to pigeonhole this band as] should certainly make listening to this album a top priority.

AFI are not my favourite band and I don't follow their career with much interest lately but this album is probably one of my alltime favourites. During uni I listened to the album on repeat for three-years and never got bored of it - it's usually a cliche but I think you geniunely get something new out of every listen. The singles (Silver and Cold, Girl's Not Grey) are very good but, as the previous reviewer mentioned, the album fits together so well that I never skip over the other songs to get to them; the hidden track is especially beautiful and I always wait to hear it. I am buying a second copy of this album because my first has mysteriously vanished (!) and I would definitely recommend that people give it a try, regardless of their taste in music.
