Firstly I make no apologies for reviewing this album. Those of you that know me will already be aware that I absolutely love The Corrs - on a strictly musical basis you understand. So, a lot of the more traditional element in what is termed the 'folk scene' will call me a traitor but I've never seen any harm in taking the commercial road to success. In fact I wish many more artists (myself included) would have chosen the same path and taken the queen's shilling. The thing with Andrea, Caroline, Sharon & Jim is that they also perform to varying degrees of competence on their chosen instruments and at least they keep the music live! But as a collective, the siblings have to be bettered when it comes to marketing their brand of consumer friendly pop-folk-rock. The hits, as you would expect come thick and fast including 'So Young', 'Breathless', 'Radio' and for completists (like myself) the obligatory bonus tracks 'Would You Be Happier?' and 'Make You Mine'. By the way, for the record could Sharon possibly use a well-miked up violin (as opposed to the nasal quality she has had from her instrument since she started) and could Jim please produce the next Band Of Two CD?
