to be honest i'm not a big nirvana fan and find most of their stuff to depressing but you've got to appreciate the expertise within it all the notes and lyrics are just perfectly put together and it added up to create a great album, so even if your not a big nirvana fan and ur reluctant to listening to it just give it a go and respect it for what it is

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Amazing!!

I bought this cd because i liked "Smells like teen spirit" and I was not a Nirvana fan at all. After listening to the opening track, I couldnt see how the remainder of the album could top that. How wrong was I. Start to finish, it is a masterpiece..... each track is actually infectiously amazing. My personal favourites are Breed, Lithium and Drain You. Iv read some reviews saying that this is a good album, and not their best..... In my opinion its superb!

...why this album is so legendary!!!

I'm not a massive Nirvana fan, but, I found this album in my parent's CD collection recently and put it on... wow... everyone knows the lead single, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', but there are loads of awsome songs on this album that I reckon are better!!! (such as 'Lithium', 'Drain You' and 'In Bloom') You can't say that this album is for everyone, but personally, I think it's perfect!!!

"album that changed the world", it has been called, and it's not hard to see why. personally, i prefer "Bleach" and "In Utero", but there are some brilliant songs on this album. my favourites are "Lounge Act", "Drain You", "On A Plain", and "Smells Like..."

i can't recommend this album enough, because it's quite easily accessible compared to their other albums. anyone could pick this up, and like it, whereas "Bleach" enters the Metal realm in some songs. "NeverMind" stays relatively accessible. and with over 2 million sold worldwide, it's bound to be good.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars 26 million sold, it must be good

This album is a turing point in music history brining alternative rock and grunge in to main stream music. I must admit, I have all the Nirvana albums and this one most of the songs I could listen to again and again, unlike the others where there is two or three. The album includes the classic, 'Smells like Teen spirit', Nirvana have always been remembered by this one song, which should not be the case as they have many many good songs that are better than this and they should be remembered by them all, not just one. This album has sold over 26 million copies, which is a lot! This is a must buy if you like Rock music!

I only gave this great grunge album four stars because I'm not so keen on some of the songs. The four songs that stand out the most for me are Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, Come As You Are and Polly. Nevermind is the album that really kicked off grunge music big time it was a massive selling album. This is the grunge album to own and the late Kurt Cobain lives on through Nirvana's music.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Groundbreaking Album!!!

This is sometimes considered the greatest album of the 90s and is also considered a landmark grunge album that had a huge impact on the music of today. With Kurt's amazing voice and riffs and Dave Grohl's powerful drums and Krist's...bass. The album starts off great but the last 4 tracks aren't as good as the rest. But they are still a great 4 songs. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is one of the best songs of all time.

I like it and it's a must buy for the price!!!

Nirvana's Nevermind sold in its millions, and despite this, it isn't their best work ('In Utero' is) Most people have accused Nevermind as being to mainstream, to poppy, to catchy, but in their defence, if Nirvana hadn't taken grunge mainstream, some one else would have (perhaps pearl jam or soundgarden) Nirvana were in the right place at the right time, just when the world was yearning for some thing they good they could listen to without having to worry about losing their rebelious, punk image. To the parents of teenagers every where nirvana were (judging by 'Bleach') anti-social, screaming, whining noise makers, and this pleased the punks, meaning more people got into it, taking it mainstream. most would expect Nevermind to be a groaning, anti-world, screeching testament to pain and mental torture, when in reality, Nevermind (with the exception of the secret song at the end, something in the way and possibly come as you are which are songs which would give substance to the aformentioned presumptions) is a really nice album to listen to, it really does put a smile on the face of all who listen to it, it is a fantastic album, and for most to realise this, they need to look past the wreckage of kurt cobain, and past the mainstream, but once those small things of overlooked, Nevermind is a joy

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars just buy it
