A classic acoustic tale of what could have been!

What an eye opener for a seventeen year old lad! Back in old 1994 i first watched this on mtv and was blown away by its raw honesty. I latter purchased the album and realised what nirvana could have been and what other bands could be if played acoustic and moody. It shows the depths of songs and how they can be stretched so that even the words may have different meanings. God only knows what would have happend if kurt was to have stuck around to streched it some more!

First of all, i don't know what "brucedickinson"(another reviewer) is talking about, if you want to start listening to nirvana go for Nevermind then In Utero, then this album, because this is a different nirvana to the studio stuff, But still the album is great, this album really strips them down and shows us whats under all of the max up amps and the feedback (a bit like the In Utero cover), is has much more heart. 6 covers on here which are all done great, the bests are the Bowie gem and the final blues song but the meat puppets song are still cool. Come as you Are, is the most famous on here, but the lesser known songs kick ass as well, the creepy yet beautiful Polly. Dumb, Pennyroyal tea, on a plain all are really good. Every song is ace! A Must for any Nirvana fan (its a bit stupid because every Nirvana fan will have this already). This is, in my view, just behind Nevermind, its close though.

I'm not a fan of nirvana in fact i hated nirvana until a few nights ago i saw this on MTV and it was amazing such amazing acoustic work brilliantly played live, if you're getting into Nirvana buy this instead of Nevermind. This is the only good stuff by Nirvana. Brilliant album well worth the money.

 An absolute must!!

I remember watching this on MTV years ago so when i saw this album on play.com I had to buy it. An absolute must for Nirvana fans and even non fans will appreciate. Absolute raw talent.
