This is, without a shadow of doubt, the best album EVER made, seriously I've had to buy 3 copies now as the other 2 have been played so much theyv'e developed too many scratches and they keep jumping!
This album has a perfect mixture of slow sad songs, such as "Round Here", and "Raining In Baltimore", which can really bring a tear to your eye, aswell as some brilliant faster and happy songs like "Rain King" and "Omaha". This change of melody in the album can physically throw you from one mood to another.
Listen to the lyrics carefully in this album and you really get to learn about some of Adam's past experiences and story's.
It really is a shame Play.com couldn't let me give this 6 stars out of 5 but oh well 5 will do, seriously this really is a fantastic album and there should be a copy of this CD in everybody's home.

     Beauty in music form

This album is a rare find, its got both fantastic music, and fantastic songwrighting, all the songs being very well structured and built up, with all the instrument parts slowly mounting up to make the songs perfect, with each part being perfectly balanced and tastefully done with sparseness being used very well,

The album is a very good example of less is more, the music is delicate and perfectly defined and built up, not crowded.

The album is, as others have said, an amazing album, with meaningful lyrics and beautiful music.

This album is incredible, smooth rock, with sensitive ballads, and moving music.

The writing talent that is Adam Duritz is incredible, you feel his pain with every melody, every chord and heart felt note he sings!

Buy it, it will depress you!

This is the best album in the world ever....

Trust me, I went traveling many years ago and found this album.

This has now been Replaced - Recorded - sampled so many times I should have shares in Counting Crows.

I first played this in 1995 and I still play it today.
Everyone I have introduced to this album have loved it.

If there is one Album every person in this world should have in their collection this is it....

Trust me after a couple of Plays you'll know the words off by heart to every song.
