I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! I got it when I just turned 14 and it was my introduction to rock music. Every track rocks and for anyone who likes them its a total must have. The single that made them famous across the world, How You Remind Me, is one of ten ace songs. Too Bad is written about a father abandoning his family through hard times, and Never Again tackles the gritty issue of a beaten wife finally hitting back. Other songs, like Hangnail and Just For are exactly the sort of music Nickelback became famous for. True rock genius!! Good Times Gone is a real nostalgic song about looking for the things we miss and pass over as life goes by and is the perfect closer to the album. Any Nickelback fan without this album should buy it now!!

Can never understand why some people slang nickelback off, could be maybe because some of their songs are over played on the radio but personally i love that fact. After listening to this album while traveling on holiday i fell in love with it. With songs which are easy and relate to i found my self just putting my cd player on repeat and just drifting away.
Nickelback's best yet!

Top 10 Music Reviewer
Nickelback seem a bit like Marmite to be me you either love them or hate them. Silver Side Up is a good solid rock album and the best tracks are How You Remind Me, Woke Up This Morning, Too Bad. They all really hit the mark even more so if you are going through a break up. If you not brought a Nickelback album yet make sure it is this one it's their best, and hopefuully you will enjoy My rock lovers.
I never thought this was possible...

That's right! I never thought it was possible for anything to sound this bad...if i'd been standing next to a foghorn while raging hyenas yelped in my face it would probably be a more pleasant listening experience than this. Uninventive, boring, grizzly dribble. Shame on you all...
Absolutely Awesome!

Silver Side Up is one of the few albums where every single song is terrific. This entire album is filled with emotion, each song reverberates anger. If you like Nickelback or have a passing interest in rock music then you must own this amazing album.
