When the libertines burst on to the scene nobody had heard anything quite like it before and we still haven't since.A true classic album from start to finish.

This album really has changed british music and the change is just so good. this album just blows you away from start to finish with songs like i get along and up the bracket you can't go wrong. it is just so creative with the lyricss and the catchy music.

hmmmm...one of the greatest albums no...but still..

When i was an avid reader of nme from 2000 to 2004 there was a band that emerged that created a media monster....that band was the libertines...pete doherty and carl barat were two charismatic lead members that sent nme's writers into a gossip frenzy...i bought the album straight away and loved it for a year...then gave it away to a friend....but now looking back i realise i still do love it...it's cocky and funny and beautifully messy....none of the group has gone onto to do anything near as vital as this debut....and it costs 7 euros top!! Also makes me wonder what happened to decent english indie music.....now the americans are showing us how its done

Quite simply. One of the greatest albums Ever made.

Up The Bracket is quite simply one of the greatest albums Ever made. This album single handedly changed the sound of british rock music into how we know now and pretty much invented the term 'Indie'. Up The Bracket does it all.
It creates a lot of opinion, good and bad, but if you don't hear it, you'll be the one missing out!

Its simply beautifully executed, its intelligent, its ragged, scruffy and twisted. Its a stellar set of songs that - both musically and lyrically - neatly synthesizes the past 40 years of English rock. Its a triumphant monster masterpiece of an album.

I can't recommend this album enough, its deserves a 10star rating.

    Up the Albion!

Best album of all time. was brought up listening to the lights of oasis and at the time i thought they were just the best and nothing would ever come close. And then i discoverd the Libertines and now i listen to at least one song from up the bracket every day! At £5 you have to be mad not to buy this album. you will not regret it!

Would certainly give the Arctic Monkeys a run for their money if they had just arrived on the scene. Whether you love or hate Pete Doherty the guy has sheer talent (as do the band) and this album is a corker. Just buy it. Can't go wrong for the price!

     absolutely awesome!!

This album rocks. Makes you wonder why there are not more bands like these out today. the lyrics mean something and at the same time its very catchy. If you like dirty pretty things or babyshambles, you are sure to love the libertines. bla bla bla........just buy the album!
