Top 100 Music Reviewer

im not really sure where to begin with this album... its really stunning. easily my favourite of all their albums so far (which speaks more aboutt '(_)' as i really like the others as well).

vocally, its not English. im unsure as to whether it's Icelandic or that made-up-language they made up. whether its a real language or not is of little importance - i dont understand what is being sung but the music just all makes sense. the tracks all merge - to the 2 minute long ditty melts into the 8 minute epic and so on with little ini=dication that its another track, but it works wonderously. the majority of the songs also (seemingly) feature the same vocal refrain. similarly to my review of 'Takk', this is a concept album wthout having any obvious concept (the tracks are all untitled). its just a work of beautiful evocative music.

the piano led 'Unititled 3' is a delicate stunner, while 'Untitled 6' begins slowly before growing into an powerful epic flanked by jubilent chiming guitars.

this is a true album in the strongest possible sense. the songs all make sense, and to skip, cut and paste the tracks would be sacrilage of a work of true musical art. advice: enjoy this album in its entirety, not as bits and pieces.

An excellent album with a very unique and atmospheric feel. Contains the track from the ending of the film "Vanilla Sky". Well worth the purchase.
