The whole idea of the supernatural, pagan ideas of children born with powers (Moonchild) and prophecy and clairvoyance and all that jive feature on this album but if you're not up for all that you can rest assured it still has some awesome riffs etc. If you're hardcore and you really like maiden buy it but if you are watching the pennies I would try before you buy, it isn't their typical number of beast/Powerslave/live after Death album.Having said that once you get used to the atmospheric vibe it is pretty cool.
This album is amazing! I first listened to it on a tape that i "borrowed" from my brothers collection. I put it on my walkman and didn't stop listening for days!
My favourate track is infinite dreams which has the classic Iron maiden epic style to it. The lowest point (even though not that low) is can i play with madness.
Iron Maiden yet again, how do they do it, they have to stop being great sooner or later.
I think this is probably my favorite of their albums, if not the second, either way, you can't not love it.
this album is completely and utterly flawless imho. Iron maiden take their distinct sound and add a progressive touch, which turned out to be a very good formula. this CD contains 4 singles - can i play with madness, the clairvoyant, The evil that men do and infinate dreams, however all of the non single album tracks live up to the same standard.
For me, this is a strong contender for the best album ever made.
a must have if you are just getting into 1 of the best metal bands of all time!!MOONCHILD starts you off, just BRILLANT.INFINITE DREAMS take some getting use to then you are hit with a barrage of riffs, cords, vocals & muscle hitting drumming with the rest.THE EVIL THAT MEN DO,SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON,THE PROPHECY,ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG and my personal favourite THE CLAIRVOYANT, and not to forget the top 5 hit CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS.
