This albulm is intense and amazing, by far in the league of iowa, any slipknot fan must have this albulm.

OUTSTANDING! This is the best SlipKnoT album by far!
Slipknot are my favourite band and the reason for that is:
The vocals (Corey Taylor) is just amazing.
Some of these bands vocals nowadays are rubbish. Either they can sing but not shout. Or Shout but not sing and try to but make a mess of it.
Whereas Corey can do both and very professionally.
And has done for all 3 albums.
I just hope that 'All Hope Is Gone' is as good.
(All Hope is gone and phycosocial are very good songs, Look on youtube for them.)
The guitars are also very good with long, fast rifts.
The drumming is by no doubt very good. Very fast but not a racket. It fits in with the rest of the music very well.
GET THIS ALBUM METAL HEAD'S OUT THERE BECAUSE SlipKnoT RULE!

most people don't like to admit they like the old Slipknot stuff nowadays, because Nu Metal isn't popular any more. that does not, by any means, mean this is a bad album. Nu Metal at its finest, with some songs you can jump around to, and just enjoy. Slipknot are one of my favourite bands of all time, and their debut made them who they are today. however, the lyrics aren't very intelligent. i mention that because i dug this album out of my rack the other day, and i went through the lyrics, and they suddenly didn't sound as good as they did when i was 12. but, anyway, it's a solid album.

this album is amazing, i recommend it to anyone who likes metal! they are such a good band:)!

Slipknot's best album for many things. Songs are well put together, awesome riffs and some good singing from Corey, the star of the show is Joey, amazing drummer, who can do it all, he's technically brillant, and mind-boggolingly quick. Mick plays really well throughout the who album. For people who thing Slipknot "Roar" wake up, and bloody listen. Supurb band and album

Just got this today, and its so great best album i've heard all year, i'm also getting The Subliminal Verses for christmas, so if your just getting into metal i recommend this also i've heard the follow up (Iowa) is even better, but also if you like the classics like Duality, Before I Forget & The Blister Exists, get The Subliminal Verses

7. Tattered & Torn: dead weird but still great 9/10
8. Me Inside: bit forgetable. still good tho. 8/10
9. Liberate: wiked song. 9/10
10. Prosthetics: another slow werid one. 9/10
11. No Life. again abit forgetable, but still good. 8/10
12. Diluted: my personal fave. 10/10
13. Only One: not one of the best. good tho. 7/10
14. Scissors: amazing closer. don't forget to wait for 10 mins after the song has finnished for the bonus hidden track. 10/10

I'm not a metal man at heart but I have always loved Slipknot and when I bought this I was very impressed, it's excellent. The instruments sound great, the lyircs are clever and overall the songs are pure genius. It's that kind of music you can listen to when you're on your way to kill someone because it is just so suited to that kind of situation. An absolute must have if you're a true metal man/woman. Well worth the price so give it a chance.... You will be very happy you did!!
