'You Could be my Silver Spring...........'

Unfortunately, I was too young when Fleetwood Mac were in their prime, and even though I have managed to see them once (in Glasgow on their 2009 tour) it will never be as much I would have wanted to if I could have.

Thankfully, this (which I've also seen on DVD) recording from their 1997 tour is a very strong and very successful live album and a frequent player on both my iPod and also from the CD version that I have. The group are in fine fettle, and everyone is working well and that shows in the strong performances across the collection here.

For me, the highlight of this live show is that it carries what for me are the definitive performances of Stevie's 'Landslide' and also the fantastic 'Silver Springs', but essentially this is a well chosen and very well played cross section of all the group's most known work.

     Great reunion album

This album is Fleetwood Mac in its "Rumours" line up of Fleetwood, McVie, Buckingham, Nicks and Peacock (nee' McVie).

The rumours line up is the Fleetwood Mac that most people know and after all the years of fighting they came together to record a performance that showed they had returned to their peak.

I saw them at Wembley Arena in 2009 and they were as good as this live album from over a decade ago.

     This worth looking into

As a rule I am not a fan of live albums they never catch the moment of the concert which is usally a visual affair and always seems a cheap option to put something out to the fans. However none of the above apply to this album. after years of plodding on with different line ups, Fleetwood Mac got the classic line up of Fleetwood, McVie, McVie, Buckingham and Nicks. The songs are recorded in excellent quality and a you get a new track from each of the writers, well two from Buckingham and they just leave you wanting more. Highlights are for me any way Bleed to love her, Tusk, Go your own way and Riannnon. Investigate and enjoy
