A journey through the Musical brain of the Richard D James AKA Aphex Twin
This album is unlike any other. From hyped up drum/drill n bass to abstract piano tracks, even a song that is a recording of Richard D james Family reciting "happy Birthday" this album astonishes and challenges you all the way through.
Whether its "how on earth do you create such complex yet fluid music" or "what the hell was that" this album will mystify you
i'm more of a BPM junkie so i love tracks like Vordhosbn which ticks through at breakneck speed. with its complex beeps. blips and breaks, ambient overtones and obscure soounds.
Often criticised, this album isn't aphex twins most accessible works, but it certainly stands out. for this reason maybe not the best aphex twin to purchase.
If you like the IDM/Breakcore electronic scene or you or even just a fan of music that pushes boundaries to be different, i'd recommend this title
