5 A new move.Slinov | 26/07/2010 | See all Slinov's reviews (3)This newer album is, in my opinion, a brilliant new direction from the last album they release, "The Tide and It's Takers". Yet again, 36CF have managed to move their sound forward on a new album into previously unmarked territory (at least for themselves). This album is a mixture of all their previous albums, with a heavy influence from 2008's "The Tide and It's Takers". Featuring fast paced screaming sections, closely followed by Brock Lindow's powerful clean vocals during melodic choruses, absolutley crushing breakdown sections which leave you wanting for more. All in all, as a big 36CF fan, i am very pleased to see this album come out how it did, as i was fearing that the fifth album would be their saturation point, where a lack of competent ideas would arise, but this album has shown me otherwise. "Collisions And Castaways" is a brilliant album, and definately worth the purchase if you're a long time fan of the band, or just getting into them.
