 A new move.

This newer album is, in my opinion, a brilliant new direction from the last album they release, "The Tide and It's Takers". Yet again, 36CF have managed to move their sound forward on a new album into previously unmarked territory (at least for themselves). This album is a mixture of all their previous albums, with a heavy influence from 2008's "The Tide and It's Takers". Featuring fast paced screaming sections, closely followed by Brock Lindow's powerful clean vocals during melodic choruses, absolutley crushing breakdown sections which leave you wanting for more. All in all, as a big 36CF fan, i am very pleased to see this album come out how it did, as i was fearing that the fifth album would be their saturation point, where a lack of competent ideas would arise, but this album has shown me otherwise. "Collisions And Castaways" is a brilliant album, and definately worth the purchase if you're a long time fan of the band, or just getting into them.

 36 Crazy-riffs!

Ok, I haven't counted them, and they're less crazy and more genius, but these guys have created another riff-filled, metal fuelled masterpiece. From start to finish this album will have you enthralled. A nice mix of trademark screamified vocals wirh melodic moments you can really get into. A must have.

A more expansive album, with the same awesome results!

Usually it takes me a while to get into an album. But I have fallen in love with this album from the first listen. Stand out song for me would be Reviver. Although there isn't one single weak song, on the album. I love the singing vocals but at the same time none of the screaming as been sacrificed. It just gives them more of an edge than different bands and allows them to try different things rather than be repetitive. Overall a Great album to listen to if you like bits of melodical music intertwined with metalcore. By far the best thing to come out of Alaska!
