  Rubbish!

My girlfriend and her sister are massive Take That fans (sister Robbie also) but they both think this is one of the worst Take That albums, stand out track is The Flood.

It is way to heavy with Robbie and a 80's synth sound which does not suit the group.

It is clear the egotist Robbie has had a massive influence on this album but the rest of the group do not need him, he has only rejoined to boost his flagging profile.

Not Good.

  Pleasantly Surprised !!

I bought this for the wife and, not being a real TT fan, I found the songs pretty good. Seems that TT have matured into a "Man" band and the song writing talent they have, has improved immensely. I have been converted !!

TT won Best Group (congratulations, very well deserved) last night at the Brits, but they should have won Best Album too, because it's the best an meaningfull album I've ever heard. Those lyrics very down to earth, those are powerfull statments, wake up people, what are we doing to man kind and earth?? great power sounds, lets march for live!!!

  Beaaa-utiful!!

I was so excited to get this album in the post I listened to it straight away. I had watched the documentary they made before I got the CD so could see them in the studio recording these very songs!! A totally different sound to the last 2 albums, but I guess that was always going to be the case, especially with Robbie back. My 2 favourite tracks are The Flood and 8 Letters. I was very disappointed that there were only 10 tracks, was expecting at least another 2 or 3 than that, and they are certainly capable of it. Thought it was a bit of a Robbie "love-in" as it seems he has lead vocals on nearly every song. I love Gary's voice and Howard's so was hoping to hear a lot more of them on it!! They can all sing quite well and I thought there would and should have been space for all of them to since lead vocals and still keep everyone happy. Love it though and can't wait to hear the next album with Robbie on it too, they might have calmed down about him being back in the band. There are 4 other members too who are truly talented singers and songwriters etc. Definately worth your mum, love listening to this in the car turned up VERY, VERY LOUD!!! Enjoy fans!!

Progress - you most be joking !! More like Regress

Hugely disappointing and underwhelming. Have been a massive TT fan in the past, but have become increasingly frustrated with their recent tendency to use the weedy, squeaky voice of Mark Owen more on The Circus and Beautiful World albums. He cannot sing. On Progress, when you throw in an excess of Robbie Williams and a liberal sprinkling of Mark Owen you feel you are sipping on an alcoholic cocktail deliberately concocted to make you chuck. Mark Owen and Robbie Williams have had too much input. The result is a morose binge drinkers overdose of an album and unrecognisable from their excellent last 2 albums and toe tapping and catchy early stuff. Gary Barlow has faded too much into the background. Very poor.

I got this album for christmas and I love it there are no tracks I dislike, i'm a massive fan of Robbie but I feel that cos he floped on his own he went back to take that because there on top of there form he can be in the lime light again, I think take that would do just as well without Robbie but it is a great album neather the less. I think that as soon as Robbie has got what he wants out of take that he will be off on his own once again. Brillant album and a must buy

to banginman. just to let you know only.track 7 has robbie as leading vocal but track 10 and hidden track has gary as leading vocal.on top of that i'm quite sure that the manegment and producers decide while vocal singer sings which ever track it is.unfortunately only gary and robbie have the best voices out of the whole group.but the group have grown up and mature and i give thumbs up for this album.i can't say i'm a take that fan but it's a must to have album. well done boys. keep it up. track 1,10 and hidden track are the best.
