a good effort from the saturdays

I was so excited to hear the Saturdays where releasing a third studio album after their second album Wordshaker didn't sell so well. The band have continued their pop sound and it's great! The only dissapointment to the album is the fact it's only has 8 tracks on the album and with re-releases of Ego Forever Is Over and One Shot remixed. The new songs are excellent and the album could have done with more new songs. I think the album seemed a little rushed and with a little more effort and time but in it could have been alot better as they have the potential to go to the top. I would like to see their 4th album with more songs on (no re-released singles) and maybe for the Saturdays to start writting their own songs. Best songs: Died In Your Eyes, Higher and Karma. along with Missing You, Forever Is Over and Ego.

 Short but good

Less than a year from Wordshaker, The Saturdays present Headlines. Not considered as an third album but described as an EP to bridge a gap from Wordshaker to another album being planned for sometime in 2011. Plus Wordshaker wasn't a huge seller and this is a way to keep The Saturdays in the charts.

Headlines includes eight tracks such as the hits Forever Is Over and Ego. It also includes an unreleased track named One Shot. They were all previously included on Wordshaker and some people have complained about this. But for people such as myself who didn't like Wordshaker, this is a good bonus.

The album includes 5 other new songs such as the hits Missing You and Higher. Missing You and Higher are already classic Saturday tracks and the other 3 tracks are fantastic. Karma and Puppet are good dance tracks while Died In Your Eyes is a ballad and shows off their vocals fantastically well.

Despite only eight tracks, do not be put off as it is a good pop album and it shows The Saturdays going from strength to strength. With Girls Aloud on a break and Sugababes barely have any of the original line up, they are doing a great job in being one of Britain's top girlbands.

 Gonna be Brill!!

The Saturdays are amazing, I had a little sneak peak of this new album 'Headlines' on YouTube, and it sounds great - their new song Missing You is like a classic ballad absolutely love it, and all their new songs sound like nothing they have ever done before, It's gonna be brill!

 A bit disappointing

Not what i was expecting from The Saturdays i know it's only a mini-album or EP but think this was a poor effort, the best songs on here are single Missing You and rumoured next single Higher, not sure why the girls put Ego, Forever is Over and One Shot on here either but all around a little disappointing compared to Chasing Lights or Wordshaker

 Good songs just want more

Great songs girls, just wish there were more songs, especially as uve released a few of them before the album was released. Most albums these days have more than 8 songs on :(
