It's great to see Steve Hewitt having his say musically.
This is a really good, solid, interesting, rock album.
But it's more than that, it has its quirky moments, and there are bits where you can see the influence of the big P on his writing style, but it never overwhelms.
I really like this album for its diversity and its maturity, there is a lot of space here.
It'd be hard to tag this as just a 'rock' album, but it does lean that way. In a kind of 'Manics' 'Terrorvision' and 'Placebo' kind of way, rather than a 'Rawk!' way...
Hugely, pleasantly surprised by it. One of those 'rarely out of the car' albums.
Can't wait to catch them live and get the next album!
