It grew on me... so glad I let it!

I bought this album knowing about three OMD songs, but they were a band I was keen on getting to know a bit better. Instead of buying a greatest hits album I chose their newest offering. After one listen I was indifferent, but then it's not often I can decide on an opinion on music that fast ... two or three more plays and I was hooked. The songs sound somehow classic even though they're brand new. My only complaint was that I bought it after the History of Modern tour - would've loved to see that.

 better than ever

Great to see another band back and still able to produce good music.Track 1 new babies, new toys, track 3 history of modern and tracks 8 and 9 where instant hits with me.The others are still good aswell with the last track 13 having a bit of kraftwerk feal about it.Hope they still carry on to entertain us in the future.

 History of Modern

It has been a long time in coming and it hasn't disappointed, from the opening blast of "New Babies" it sets the scene for a roller coaster ride of OMD old and new majestic tracks like Sister Marie Says, History of Modern part 1 and the electrifying Pulse are the jewels in the crown, but all are good. The comeback tour for Architecture and Morality was superb and it has stimulated the extraordinary creativity of Andy and Paul. If you only buy one CD this year buy this one put it in your car sit back and enjoy. This wonderful collection of songs has convinced me that the long journey from Newcastle to Ipswich in November to see OMD perform this album will be well worth it. Brilliant !!!

 They never lose it!?

Only now have I decided to review this album after purchasing on release last year. However it is a cracker and OMD never fail to impress with their fantastic production and song writing. Diverse selection of tracks but all merit a good listen to. Fantastic band live and well worth going to see. Been a fan since the early 80's and so long as they keep this up I will be for a long time to come...Here's to the next gem?

 Very good

Can only agree with the other positive reviews, there is nothing really new on offer here, just the original 80s OMD sound at their best. Good to see them back.
