- Over 2.5 hours of music, this comprehensive two-disc compilation, featuring 32 re-mastered hits and fan favourites culled from his extensive Elektra catalogue, is set for release following Jackson Browne's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.
- Jackson Browne was the quintessential sensitive Californian singer-songwriter of the early 70's. His songs were unflinchingly personal
- no one has written more eloquently of love lost and won, the perils and pleasures of the search for it, and few have been better rewarded with critical acclaim and commercial success, with more than 15 millions albums sold worldwide. Not only did his introspective, literate lyrics strike a nerve, but his laid-back folk-rock set the template for much of the music to come out of California during the '70s
- indeed his influence from that era is only matched by Joni Mitchell and James Taylor. This, Browne's first ever double-disk set, compiles hits, singles and choice album cuts from his acclaimed catalogue, spotlighting the insightful works of personal reflection and passionately delivered songs of social and political observation. Jackson Browne's best work shines on this long-awaited collection which is a must have for all music lovers. year.

This double c d is quite simply excellent, overtones of the Eagles sound, but Jackson was around before the Eagles and i think he was an influence in their music,so many good, well written, well sung songs, excellent.
