I prefer this to the original like the films themselves. There are a few snippets more of dialogue again which aren't really needed, however the main success here is the simply raw, emotional and outstanding compositions and songs. This soundtrack oozes a more Western feeling sound, with the beautiful Goodnight Moon and equally soulful About Her by Malcolm McLaren. My favourite is the irresistable beat of Malaguena Salarosa which like in the film perfectly presents the credits. However overall the most outstanding feature is the haunting compositions of the amazing Ennio Morricone, with the beautiful Il Tramoto, uplifting L'Arena and perhaps the most dramatic and beautiful dread-laden composition since the Jaws theme A Silhouette Of Doom. Ofcourse Johnny Cash makes an appropriate and as always pleasurable contribution. Raw, soulful, moving and romantic, the must have CD for anyone's collection.
