This is my favourite album from my favourite band. There isn't a weak song on it. From great heavy songs with excellent guitar riffs such as Rock and Roll Star and Supersonic to acoustic brilliance Married With Children. Liam Gallagher has possibly the most distinctive voice ever and Noel is one of the greatest guitarists in the last 20 years.

this album i would say is one of the best debut albums of all time the only other in my opinion that could compete is the stone roses first. to still listen to this 15 years later and still love it so much says something!!!

Every song a beauty, nothing more to be said really, except - simply genius.

How many albums a year are we told is the greatest thing since Definitely Maybe? And how many of them actually are...well...none so far. Its going to take an amazing album to better this one, and I doubt it will ever happen.

What makes this album is Noel Gallagher's talent as a songwriter. Tracks like Slide Away and Married With Children with their clever lyrics sit next to the likes of Rock 'n' Roll Star and 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' two songs that don't have the worlds most intelligent lyrics, but say everything thats worth saying. Its the sound of just about every person out there, cos who hasn't wanted to get away from their day-to-day life and be a rock n roll star? When you listen to this, you are.

The best album you will ever buy. Ever.

The greatest debut album ever. Without any need for debate. If you don't have this album I worry for you.

Live Forever, Ciggarettes and Alcohol, two of the single most important songs of the decade.

possibly one of the greatest albums to ever grace english rock. dont get me wrong its no revolver or sgt pepper but it was voted in the top 20 albums of all time. definately worth a buy just to get a glimpse of the beginning of oasis' legacy

This is the best debut album any band has ever released. This is better than (Whats the Story) Morning Glory? Standout tracks, Rock N Roll Star, Live Forever, Columbia, Bring it on Down, Cigs & Alcohol, Slide Away. 10/10

Every song is an instant classic and Slide Away is my most favouritest song ever. ALL the songs are great. Except Columbia. That's bad.

I still listen to this record regularly over 10 years after I bought it. Every song is a winner, nuff said. Go listen to it. Again. Sunshiiiiiiiiiine!!!
