As a fan of The Killers since they started up this was absolutely an album that I was wanting to hear as soon as I could, as the debut solo album of frontman Brandon Flowers.

However, it actually took me a few listens to start to get into the album itself. Although first single 'Crossfire' remains one of the stronger tracks on the album and I had liked it from first listen the album itself took longer to work on me simply because I found it so like The Killers in many ways anyway. Often times, after being in a group a solo CD might try and go in a totally different direction but Flowers doesn't really do that. Several tracks really seem like B sides of The Killers themselves at times.

However I do now like all the tracks - particularly 'Hard Enough', 'Jilted Lovers and Broken Hearts', 'Magalena', 'Crossfire' and 'On the Floor' - and have begun to listen to it repeatedly because of geunuinely catchy melodies, hooks and production.

So, a good debut album after all, but it took me a bit to get into it's groove.

 killers very watered down

This album is fantastic, every song is as good as the next, being a serial song skipper, I find I can relax and just listen to this album over and over. Really really worth it, just wish there was more!!

 Worth the wait.

I'm a HUGE Killers fan from the beginning so I was very excited when the wonderful Mr Flowers said he was bringing out a solo album. The songs are fantastic, and he gives it 100%. I would definately recommend this album.
