  • For her fifth studio album, Barbadian songstress Rihanna pulls out all the stops with the aptly titled Loud.

With a host of top-notch producers at the desk including StarGate, Tricky Stewart and Alex da Kid, the unique fusion of pop, R&B and dance makes for compelling listening. UK number one hit "Only Girl (In The World)" is an up-tempo romp, while the brilliant follow-up, "What's My Name", is another four-minute gem. With Indian flavours, electro and organic beats, Rihanna's ever-expanding sound glimmers with integrity throughout. Adding to the enjoyment, special guests appear regularly, notably hip-hop hero Drake and rapping sensation Nicki Minaj. The album's highlight must be the stunning cameo appearance from Eminem on "Love The Way You Lie Part II", drawing the album to a glorious conclusion. With the first version originally released as a single by the rapper, Rihanna herself takes centre stage, performing vocals for the follow-up with the singers simply accompanied by piano and drums, a beautifully simplistic end to a frantic and dominant release.

Boisterous, intelligent and sassy throughout, Loud is Rihanna's most confident release to date, and the true sign of an artist that has fully found her own voice.

 Great Album

Loud is a bit more diverse than Rated R, couple of really really good tracks as well as just the (fab) singles so far, these include Complicated, S&M and Man Down. Apart from California King which is a good but slower track, the album is a lot more upbeat than the previous and stays true to Rihanna's catchy and clever styles, combining pop with rnb, and a reggae twist on Man Down.

SHE'S BACK, with a new No.1 single and duet with Drake, who I'm not really that into, but Rihanna's duet with him a great song... After only hearing the album, it's a must buy...
