  • Bursting with attitude and energy, Duffy storms back into the public eye with her hugely ambitious second album, Endlessly.

Forming a fruitful songwriting collaboration with the legendary Albert Hammond, the Welsh songstress follows-up her best-selling debut with a confident release packed with big tunes. The first single from the album, "Well, Well, Well", is an instant change of direction, with US hip-hop group The Roots adding a funky edge to proceedings. The liveliness continues throughout, alongside moments of heart-tugging beauty, notably the gorgeous "Too Hurt To Dance."

While retaining the classic soul edge of her outstanding first release, 2008's top-selling 'Rockferry', the singer has added a sense of grit, and determination to her breathtaking vocal range. The result is the excellent Endlessly
  • the clearest indication yet that the Bangor-based starlet is here for the long haul.

Sou is a very overused word in musotalk. It can mean slow, soppy stuff so I refer to Staxsoul if I am talking about the stuff made famous by Wilson Pickit, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave et all. The prob is they were old, fat guys! Now Duffy is a young, pretty lady who sings well enough to be soul. Job done.
