This album stands up against other british acts like Coldplay, Biffy Clyro, Radiohead, Muse and U2 , if you are into big sounding melody driven albums like me then this is for you. Id say look out for this band .
Lacks originality, identity, and sounds the same thoughout. On a positive note it's played well, but gets a bit tedious after the first few tracks. Was expecting something fresh and new, but Ive heard it all before! which may turn out to be a good thing for them?
Its easy to see why The Last Republic are many peoples tip to become the next big band to emerge from Wales. Parade is a stunning debut album packed with anthems for a generation with soaring vocal melodies set against a sonic landscape of distorted grandeur.
In addition to paranoia and escapism there is also a flipside to the albums cold assessment of the modern world - the album is very much a call-to-arms and draws its strength from love and ultimately hope.
A fantastic debut album.
