This is yet another outstanding album by SlipKnoT
If has meaningfull lyrics and a few softer songs.
The best songs on this album are defenetly duality (Which i'm listening to now 'I push my fingers into my eyes...' and so on) because it has got excellent rifts and drums.
The vocals is very good too. (KEEP IT UP COREY!)
before i forget is also a good song.
I recomend this album to any Metal Head because all the songs on this album are excellent.
(Except for vermillion which i can't stand! But thats the only song out of all 14 i don't like on this album)

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Totally mind blowing

This is the first slipknot album I ever listened to. It is incredible. If you are a 'Metal Head' or 'Mosher' this is a CD to have in your collection. With the special edition you also get two unreleased tracks which are totally brilliant. Slipknot have yet again broke the barrier for all metal bands. after 4 albums they are still kicking butt! I found that the lyrics where meaningful yet somewhat dark. Guitar is amazing, drum is brilliant. A MUST HAVE!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars This Band is Overrated but they are good.

Top 100 Music Reviewer

I'm not a big fan of this band cause so many people like them and they are on tv alot which is very annoying. This album is very good but not amazing. My fave songs are Opium Of people, Pulse Of maggots, Blisters Exists, The nameless & Before I forget. Some heavy great stuff on the album but there older stuff is supposed to be alot heavier(so ive heard). I Prefer Stone Sour to slipknot but slipknot fans will love this album. I'm into more old school metal and more proper metal. Slipknot are alot better then alot of the nu - metal bands. Slipknot have mixed nu - metal withd death metal and it does work. This is album is very good but im not amazed by it. Want some proper metal get some slayer or megadeth.

Fantastic album.

Was never ever into Slipknot, then one day my friend showed me this album and I reluctantly obliged to listen to it. I never regretted it. This album changed my opinion on the band and their musical ability. It is beautifully melodic throughout but maintains their original hellishly heavy sound. With songs like Vermillion Part 2 being an all out acoustic classic, juxtaposed to others like the brutally brilliant Duality, this album contains a lot of variety. A must buy.

Vol 3: the subliminal verses is by far one of the best cd's in my collection (and i do have a very big cd collection) This album by far is the tightest and most well written yet and yet none of the relentless and disturbia have been lost. In terms of production it's miles a ahead of Slipknot and Iowa, and the clearest to come out of the slipknot camp yet. Listening to it now makes me sad that they're still on their break! I Must say the best songs on the album are Opium for the People, Before I Forget and Welcome with their complicated arrangments (or the simple catchiness of Before I Forget), they're hard hitting, energentic and in places a little bit life afirming. Whenever i'm on my way to work and i'm in the mood for something really heavy, raw and soaked in energy, i skip past Metallica and Trivium and dive straight into Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Very Impressed... Yet Again!!

I completely agree with the other review. This album is fantastic but is slightly lighter than the first two. But that doesn't matter because it features 'Duality', 'Vermilion' Parts 1 & 2, 'Before I Forget' and loads of other ace songs, I'm loving the Bonus CD that you get with the Special 2 Disc Edition which features new songs, remixes, full length versions and live tracks. Superb album where yet again Slipknot's talent truely shines through!!

This is my family and friends is slipknots crowning masterpiese. They have yet to make a dud album but this is their best. They are at their mindblowing best. the drums are the best they have ever used.

coreys vocals are spot on the lyrics are spot on its edgy as a mother****** and catchy to boot. Every member of the band are worth their salt cuss without all of its nine members slipknot would not be slipknot. They play their instruments and they play them well.

There are as you will come to expect by now NO DUD TRACKS the rhythm the melody the tempo are all top notch and they even slow it down a skotch are 2 on vermillion one and two and circle.

This album is probably best metal your gonna hear for awhile.
