A Christmas Cornucopia

I don't know anyone who doesn't like either Annie Lennox and/or Eurythmics. I don't know anyone who differs in the opinion that Lennox is one of the finest female voices Britain has to offer. What better perfection for her to finally release a festive album?
It is a wonderful collection of personal Christmas songs for Annie. Her voice is as beautiful as ever and you can feel the passion she brings.
I really couldn't recommend a better gift this year, after all it captures the Christmas spirit so well and will warm even the coldest hearts.
It is truly a cornucopia of delights, and sets the bar for festive albums this year very high, I've waited a while since the brilliant Songs of Mass Destruction for new material and this is well worth it, the best Christmas album since Tori Amos' Midwinter Graces.

This CD has managed to bring some old songs that we all grew up with to and sometimes over hear, back to the top of christmas playlist. They are wonderfully enchanting classics sung by Annie Lennox and the African Children Chore. This CD is a must buy for any Annie Lennox or christmas fan.

I'm no great fan of Annie Lennox or the Eurythmics nor am I in any sense of the word religious. But this album is simply beautiful, or do I mean magnificent. It is obviously a labour of love and it really shows.

I bought this on the strength of her last cd which was great and also Universal Child which is the best thing on this cd. .
The arrangements and indeed Annie's voice are all wrong for this type of music, there is no warmth in her voice and the whole thing left me feeling cold. Some of the tracks have a Steeleye Span sound, but I think they would have done a better job!

I watched Annie Lennox on tv singing a song from this album last weekend and I bought it. I think it is an amazing album. It has an almost medieval sound to it and her voice is stunning. I think it is quite the most beautiful Christmas album I have ever heard every song is a pure delight. A real gem.
