Toto Past To Present 1977-1990

I bought this because i love Hold The Line, and i'd heard Africa was good, and Rosanna is alright too, in my opinion. I didn't know much about Toto, and thought it might not be bad, but i assumed it wouldn't exactly be Pet Sounds or Led Zep or anything. Most of this CD is kind of slow, soppy stuff. Although, Hold The Line is amazing, and there are some other decent tracks. There's some nice slap bass stuff and a good guitar solo in track 7, too. This is probably a fantastic CD for some people, it's good background, alternative pop type stuff, i think, and the music is arranged nicely, But it's not anything i'd pay more than £3 or £4 for. Of course, if you're curious as to how Toto sound, away from the classic few tracks, this is an alright listen, just, don't expect to be inspired into dancing uncontrollably, or becoming a world famous Rock star.

This is brilliant! Love nearly all the songs, Stop loving you being my favourite. Jeff Porcaro on the drums, what a legend.
