This album is no where near as good as their 1st.

The only decent song on here is the single Always Where I Need To Be.

Not a good album.
Bad!

OK, critics will say this is another very regional accent sounding album, one of many artists like that at the moment (artic monkeys, reverand and the makers etc.) but saying that, this is a very good album for me. Nice easy listening, catchy without being nasty pop music. Dont expect anything too deep, but good iPod music, especially when the sun shines. Follows on nicely from the last album. It's on my playlist!

 Forgettable

Overall a huge disapointment im affraid to say, with great bands such as the pigeon detectives and frateliss writing new material this was the kooks big chance to cement there name as one of this country's best bands.

track one is a great tune with some amazing instrumentlal parts however the rest dissapoints!Anybody going to a festival this year going to see the kooks can expect a great live performance as allways but in terms of something new and memorable im affraid you will be left a little short changed.

Overall a poor and forgettable piece of work with huge room for improvement. There are many bands about at the moment in the so called 'indie' scene and frankly there doing it better!!
The kooks will be back with anuther great album soon im sure so all is not lost.

keep Rocking!

I heard this album at a mate's house this afternoon, and I have to say I wasn't very impressed. While some of the songs are quite catchy and the guitar lines deserve some credit, all the songs sound very similar and the whole album is really just a rehash of their first album, but just not as good. nothing new here really. disappointing.

 Awesome!!

Ignore the latest negative review.........why do people just like the one song thats been released already!! Poor critics..

Great album from start to finish. Lots of hits will come from this album - guaranteed!! Musically alot better than last album, lyrically just as good - most songs are kinda relationship based.

Tracks 4-11 are all great - no skippers. Must have CD of 2008..............hoping the Pigeon Detectives come up with something as good on 2nd album......
