I bought this album expecting it to be great after their excellent first album but found myself disapointed. Most of the tracks are extremely similar with only a few stand out tracks, it seems to have lost the originality that the first album has, just buy their first album and forget about this one, its so terrible its actually put me off them.
Superb!

This is a tremendous album, the only criticism was it was released too early in the year as it deserves to be played in blazing hot sunshine in the middle of the summer, with a cold beer in hand and a barbecue on the go!
Mr Maker is an absolute classic, as is Love It All. Two standout tracks beyond doubt. See The Sun and Stormy Weather are not far behind.
My only criticism of the Kooks is that they are obviously in thrall to their record company execs, because (carrying on a trend from their debut) they always choose some really bad singles!!! Shine On and Do You Wanna are examples of this - average dross that would never capture the floating voter.
But hey who cares, if pop genius is about moments/one off tunes, then once again, the Kooks have more than delivered. No danger of this lot 'konking' out anytime soon......
same old kooks

this album wasn't that much different from there first. they seem to be like oasis and chilli peppers playing it safe and every album sounding the same.
