i was so surprised with this album, a real mix of different tempos which i loved, there are collaberations with george micheal and amy whinehouse and its a reasonably long player too! usualy there are only a handful of good tracks or possible singles, i loved every track and othere than the obvious single releases my favourite stand out tracks would have to be its not easy and the beautiful paper bag. mutya was obviously the strongest vocalist in the sagababes and i bet they kicked themselves when they heard this, i take my hat off to you mutya, im looking forward to your second album if its going to be anything like this one, fantastic!!!!
pleasantly surprised!

i have to admit i only bought this album because it was on a 2 for £10 offer (sorry play, for once i didn`t buy from you!) and i had most of the other albums but i am so glad i did! What an album!
It really does have a good assortment of songs from slow ballad style, which show off her vocal range,to up-beat songs like "song for mutya".She has a fantastic voice and i think the sugababes have lost the person who really made them what they are.Listening to this you realise just how much she gave the band vocally. If you like good music make sure you buy this asap.
I nearly fell on the floor

What an album!
She left the babes and everyone was thinking thats the end of Mutya's career but the girl has DELIVERED on this album. Its very apparent that she brought the raw sound to the Sugababes and 'Real Girl' is fantastic.
I was happily listening to this album and when I got to track 5, i had to rewind that song and play it over and over and over, you get my drift. This song is sang with such feeling and passion, Mutya's vocals really capture the emotion of this song. Strung Out is one of the best tracks on the album.
Once I realised there were more tracks after Strung Out I got to the fantastic Suffer 4 Love its very old skool r'n'b and made me feel warm and tingly inside.
Then I got to 'Wonderful' I actually fell over and looked at my cd player in shock, the cd was scratched (only joking)! On a serious note I was very shocked, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Absolutely fantastic and this song really shows off Mutya's vocal range which is fantastic
All in all, this is a brilliant album, and is the best album released by a UK artist in 2007.
Go and buy a at such a great price at the moment buy 2 copies!
What a great album!!

I admit i didn't buy this album from Play.com, but i just had to buy it from wherever i bought it from.(I can't remember.)
I always liked the Sugababes, and admitedly fancied the pants off of Mutya, and thought she had a very distinctive voice, so when i heard she was releasing a solo album i must admit i had my doubts!!!
But after seeing video's for Real Girl and Song 4 Mutya and reading a few reviews, i just had to buy it!!!!
I listened to it later that day, and i was not dissapointed, i am so happy i bought this album when i did, a musical experience that is more than pleasing to the ears.
If your a fan, buy it, you'll love it!!!!
If your not a fan, give it a listen anyway, you won't be sorry!!!!
Real Girl, Real Vocals, Real Sound - Really Good!

Mutya has outdone herself as a solo artist. I loved the Sugababes and was sad that Mutya left - but clearly from her solo effort she didn't need the support of other vocals - she can seriously hold her own. Mutya's vocals real, raw and very urban sounding.
Real Girl - pretty cool track and Mutya's 1st single - probably weakest track on album so thats pretty encouraging. One's to listen out for are Just a Little Bit, Song 4 Mutya, Not Your Baby, It's Not Easy, Wonderful and Strung Out. This album is packed with goodness - give it a go!
Worth a listen

When Mutya left the Sugababes back in December 2005 everybody had high hopes for her solo career. Almost 2 years on and she has had a no2 hit with "Real Girl." Her duet with George Michael "This is not real love" didn't do too well.
At first listen you would be forgiven for feeling you have just wasted your money. Admittedly the songs do begin to grow on you. "Real Girl" has begun to tire on many but "Just a little bit" is worth a listen and who can forget the gem that is "It's Not Easy." If you were a fan of Mutya in the Sugababes then this is for you. Otherwise i would advise you to buy the upcoming Sugababes album "Change." They seem to be doing much better at the moment don't they? I feel that if Mutya plans to stick around she needs to produce a better album than this! It leaves a lot to be desired, and sales figures have reflected this...
Brill!!!!!!

Great album - always was my favourite sugarbabe. Singing style definitely seems to have matured. Quite a mixed bag with something for everyone from pop to reggae. Sure she'll get 5-6 top ten hits out of this. Favourite track for me has to be Suffer for Love.
Great stuff

I was not a fan of the Sugababes and did not rush to buy this album; however I liked the Real Girl song and bought the album on the strength of that. It is a great mix of songs that always has me singing along. Worth buying as Mutya has a great soulful voice that really comes through on all songs.
