Focus III remains one of my favourite albums of all time. The strength and innovation of Jan Ackermann's playing on 'Elspeth of Nottingham' still takes my breath away.
I finally got to see them live earlier this year - they still know how to play and they are still one of the most underrated bands of the 70's!
A most underrated Band

I went to see Focus in 1973 at Leeds Town Hall, one of the best concerts I saw. No showmanship, just pure musicians. Focus III is in my opinion the best of all their albums, it has variety and shows the spectrum of the bands talents. The concert in 1973 was most memorable as afterwards we helped the band load their equipment into the wagon, Bert Ruiter (bassist) gave us some Focus Stickers by way of thanks. Those were the days!!!
