Warriors of the Wasteland is a good track but it is far from being the standout track on Liverpool, that honour falls to Maximum Joy, a delicate, intricate love song with multiple layers that builds to a euphoric crescendo. The band back that up with For Heaven's Sake (a dig at Thatcher's reign) and Lunar Bay (a social commentary that is equally as relevant today) that demonstrated the strengths of the band as song writers. Will FGTH ever see the light of day again?? I'm sad to say that it is highly unlikely. As the famous quote from Blade Runner states, "the light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long". And they burned so, so brightly. Enjoy.
