Wasting Light

I used to adore Foo Fighters (not "THE" Foo Fighters) during the period of their first two albums.

Unfortunately, as most bands do, they then decided that playing a certain sound would guarantee more radio play, and headline shows at more mainstream arenas and festivals. Hence, their musical output altered noticeably.

I'm hoping they return to a much more honest sound with the new record. Songs like "Wattershed", "The Colour And The Shape", "Monkey Wrench", "New Way Home", "My Poor Brain", "Oh George" and "I'll Stick Around" are classics in every sense of the word, and shaped who they are.

In no way is this an insult to the band - I still think they're great. I just hope they find it in themselves to make a good honest record, rather than one that will guarantee them radio play.

Great album. Every track is brilliant but be careful opening the sleeve. Inside the first million copies, the Foo Fighters cut up the original analogue tape recording when it was mastered and popped a piece in each of the CD cases! Nice touch.

I consider myself the Welsh ambassdor for the Foos, and im making sure the whole of Wales is going to buy this!!! Dave Grohl you are Jesus, and Taylor, Chris, Nate and evennow Pat are your deciples!!!! FOOS 4EVA!!!!

couldnt come any sooner heard a couple of the tracks and they rock proper hard and fast old style foos going to nme gig at wembley next month should here a few more there being a saddo and listening to nothing but foos this has been a long wait but finally its on its way fooooootastic.....

Brilliant C.D. Fantastic sound, every track is amazing, buy now you will not be disappointed. The Foos are back to their best.
